Functional Spec 0.9

We have completed are functional specification pending a final review with Howard next week.

Looking at it rather emotionally from my personal stand point I am absolutely satisfied with the document and am extremely happy with our effort rate.

It is certainly a high point of the project so far and a document that I am immensely proud of.

Looking back over the documents development cycle I think we got a lot right. From a management point of view I am also very happy with what I would define as our “ego management”. Both of us had strong and sometimes differing points of view on various topics, and sometimes when this would come down to the placement of a word in a sentence I think we were wise enough to step back and view the debate in a more rational light.

Now the most important part is to stay on the horse and build on the excellent foundations of the document and continue to build our momentum going forward into the prototyping phase.

Functional Spec

Spent most of the day scheduling up until February! I have developed a very strong dislike of Microsoft Project! – We have over 80 non recuring task to do between now and February – and none of them include production code! Anyway just have to try and keep on the horse and maintain good forward…onwards!
